In an exhibition taking place from 2 - 5 November, 2017, La Maison is proud to present a series of new works by the acclaimed Ghanaian artist Kofi Setordji spanning the mediums of painting, sculpture and weaving. The exhibition, called 'Who Be Me X Designahaus' is a uniquely staged curation exploring fundamental questions regarding humans and their purpose in life, taking in notions of identity, family, home, connection/disconnection and creativity. The exhibition sees the work of Setordji radically incorporated within a series of unique settings at the La Maison gallery and conceptual lifestyle store (located in Icon House in Accra), curated by La Maison’s founder, Nada Moukarzel. Art is taken out of the gallery context and combined with iconic pieces by acclaimed designers including Ron Arad, Tord Boontje and Patricia Urquiola to create living environments in which the viewer can imagine themselves residing or translating into their own ideas of home and identity. The curation of art and design stories will ask visitors to question: "Which is your home?" and "Who be you?"
